As September 1st ends everything is looking up for Eric. Irish has told be that Eric did very well today with some rehabilitation treatment that he through today. Eric is doing good enough that the doctors would like to try and get him out of ICU as early as tomorrow. That is such great news for the entire Saunders family.
Make sure to leave comments everyday so that Eric knows that we are all thinking about him.
Hope to bring great news about Eric tomorrow too.
That is great news. I will keep praying for your family. Gods Blessing to you all.

Wanted to say hello to Eric. I raced AMA Superstock until I got a SCI myself at the T3 level.....so I've been exactly where you are right now.....oh, how I miss those days ;)
ReplyDeleteI can tell you have the most important things already; a great positive spirit and a great supportive family. That's all you really need.
I work for Pirelli also, and we are all supporting and following your progress...

Eric, Had a chance to meet you a few years ago when your dad brought you up to the tower at South Bend Motor Speedway. I noticed right away what a great kid you are with a winning spirit. I still have your autograph on display with my other racing items. :) With your positive attitude and the enormous love and support, I believe you will conquer this, and we will follow your progress on your blog. Our family sends you and your family our thoughts and prayers, and especially, good wishes.

Eric,
ReplyDeleteIt is great to hear that your progress to recovery is going great. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I have heard so much about you through Conner and the entire Cowles family over the years. I have no dought that this is just a bump in the road for you. I look forward to hearing more about you in the future, as I am sure it will be just as bright. Keep that head up and focused. God bless you and your entire family.

Eric,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your recovery is going well, keep your spirits up - take it slow - don't try to rush it. I know you have a very good friend in the industry that I'm sure will give you some good advice on this... Chicken Nuggets - they allow that in ICU??? Did Irish sneak those in??? Irish stay strong and I'm saying a prayer for you guys.

eric you aint done till the fat lady sings....and u know the moto rule:NO FAT CHICKS so get your ass back up man were all missing ya and waiting for ya
ReplyDeleteEric,
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you wouldn't remember me but my son, Michael, is a fan of yours. He races in the 85 sr class on a KTM #563. Anyhow I wanted to let you know how hard some people are working to help you and your family out. I've been to Hoosier Tire to get a couple t-shirts and the Christy boys are literally working thier asses off to get these shirts done. I also spoke with Chad Reed(of Lakeville) and he is hooking me up with some shirts to take to Kingsbury with us to try to sell. I guess I wanted to let you know this because in a situation like yours, it could be very easy to want to give up. Well you've got alot of people pulling for you and you will be disappointing all of them if you do. Hang in there, have some patience and let them docs do what they need to do to fix you. When you're up to it I'm sure my son would like to hear from you. You can email him at degrooteracing@yahoo.com

Eric,
ReplyDeleteI've been praying like a crazy lady. You know me & you have been to hell & back together but mostly good memories have came from it all. I'm so glad you have been apart of my life and my friend. I can tell you one thing, Eric Saunders is a fighter and a stubborn one at that!! hahah I remember us getting into our little arguement at the hotel I was staying at when visiting and me driving you home and wanted to slap ya!!! & then you just gave me that smart ass Eric Saunders smirk and I was like like OH ERIC IM GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT!! hahah Your gonna make it thru this all. Your a strong kid Eric and you have ALOT of people praying and doing what they can for your family at this time. We all love you and your gonna get thru this.
Just know, even though i'm 3 hours away from you...I'm just as worried as the people 5 minutes away. Its so nerve racking to be 3 hours away and have to focus on school and my daily things when someone you care about and is a good friend of yours is going thru something so big.
If you or your family need ANYTHING, please dont hesitate. LOVE YOU && I'll see you soon when your feeling better!!!
Your LaVille Elementary family is praying for you in your progress to getting better. Soon we will be wearing our 349 shirts to chear you on to victory. Keep up the fight!
ReplyDeleteEric,
