Update 9.15.2010
Eric is still in ICU after his surgery. The surgery was meant to fix a hole that was found in his lung. The surgery was a success but has left Eric very tired. He slept all day yesterday and has been on a lot of medication for the pain that is in his back. Eric has not been able to eat a lot because he has been getting so much sleep. We are all hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. The last few days Eric has limited the amount of visitors. Not that he doesn't want to see anybody, he just know that it is vital that he gets his rest. If anyone is planning on visiting Eric please call Irish first to make sure that it is ok. Irish has explained that the healing process has been like a roller coaster.

Hope there have been no more fevers!! Glad to hear surgery was a success. Just think the roller coaster is climbing to the top now!!! Leave it all to God and it will all work out!!

ReplyDeleteEric: Doggone it! Sorry you had to have another surgery, but it had to be done so you can feel better and get stronger. I think someone should bring some more McNuggets your way! Just want to say jchristy you are doing a great job with the blog, and Eric...everyone should have a cheerleader in their corner like Rena. ReplyDeleteEric, We haven't met but, I requested our church pray for you this evening. We (Ally's parents) have been praying for you ever since we heard of your accident. We pray that God will comfort your heart and ease your pain, and that your healing will begin now that you have had your surgery. May I share my favorite verse with you? Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths." Time to let you rest now... praying for your family and friends too.

ReplyDeleteWe are continuing to pray for you. I go to a church in Peoria, AZ. I hope you don't mind, but i put you on our prayer list their as well. I am the mom of 7 and my son Josh has gotten to meet you at Mustang Sally's & is friends with Farley. You & your family is so on my heart. Josh broke his femur twice last year. The second time he broke it he broke his hip too. He's got a rod in his femur & pins. Also a plate in his opposite leg. He is too 17 years old. His passion is riding professionally. We just encourage you guys to continue with your passion and most importantly, put God first & He will direct your steps. God Bless. So sorry that you have to go through this.

ReplyDeleteFor all of you following, Eric is having trouble keeping food down. He needs his nutrition so he can get stronger and needs to get some weight back on. He has not felt up to visitors lately, which has helped him to get some much needed rest but we all miss seeing him. His attitude is amazing, he is ROCK SOLID. He is calmed by the peace of knowing how much he is loved and thought of. Please keep those prayers coming because while we feel helpless we take comfort in knowing that there's a great big God watching over Eric and knows his every need and will hear our prayers.Thank all of you for your kind words, your cards, and your prayers.
