Oct 7

Eric had another good day today. He was fitted for a new wheelchair. He went to the gym for rehab, worked hard, and Sheila cut his hair. He is still crying from that experience. L.O.L. They work him really hard, but he is up to a challenge and enjoys being praised for his hard work and effort. The only problem is being turned every two hours to avoid anymore bed sores. His sore is getting better as well as his U.T.I. I pray every morning that today will be better that yesterday. Thanks for all your prayers and support, we couldn't have made it this far without you!!! Keep the faith.

  2. Eric,
I only watched you ride twice. When I went and left I could'nt stand how dirty I felt. I never went to another race. Now I realized I can't go back, It wasn't about the dirt, it was about enjoying time watching you ride. Taking time watching you enjoy the thing you took pride in doing. I am sorry I wasn't there for you. It wasn't that I didn't Love you , it was just that I didn't want to get dirty. So when you get home I will find time for you. I will be there for you and whatever you take pride in I will be there to watch you. Sorry I learned this lesson tooo late.

Irish....we love your blogging, but maybe it is time for Eric to have a little input?!?!! Maybe this could be some father / son quality time......(just keep it clean boys!)
    Continued Thoughts and Prayers!

  5. The power of prayer is an amazing thing. I have been begging God to just give Eric the strength to battle this set back. It looks like it's working. I also love the blogging by Irish. It brightens my day to hear Eric's having a good day and his spirits have been lifted. I will continue to keep Eric in my every prayer. It's so easy for all of us to say strong but we are not in Eric's position. Eric just remember God is always with you. He will help you fight this one day at a time. Don't give up.

  6. Eric, you have no idea how many people think about you. Whenever you feel lonely or get discouraged just remember how much we all love you and that you're in our prayers all the time! Dad met a friend in the airport the other day and they're praying for you too. So many people we dont even know have you on their minds. Just remember that. Take care and get strong. Love you!
